RB PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY for
Red Balloon offers learning and action opportunities for children and young adults to lead social change through advocacy.
ARTS FOR IMPACT WORKSHOPS
RB uses creative expression, arts and design to engage the young in immersive dialogues on positive social change, awareness and leadership. These workshops include numerous creative activities such as Personalised Story Telling, Stop Motion Animation, Theatre, Puppet Making, Comic Making, Installation Art and many more, used as a tool to express and create public awareness projects.
WAY OF MEANINGFULLY CONNECTING WITH SOCIAL ISSUES
The workshops are designed for the youth to undertake an experiential journey of self-development, empathy and sensitisation towards contemporary social issues. Topics in focus: Mental Health, Environment & Climate Change, Education/Literacy, Girl Child (Health, Gender Equality, Education) and Sanitation.
Mentors from the Creative and Social Domain guide young people deeper into social issues of their choice, and knowledge is built through exposure visits, research, discussions with experts, project creation and internships. This develops leadership skills; helps children attain real-life exposure to societal challenges, and makes them capable of finding knowledge based creative solutions to global problems.
LONGTERM ENGAGEMENT - RB/ONLINE PORTAL
The programmes enable long-term engagement through RB’s interactive online platform which allows young people to journal their own progress and even dovetail this into their school/college curriculum. This is a communication hub for seamless and cohesive interaction between the children and their mentors, and can be accessed and easily monitored by parents and teachers alike. It can be acessed here
Red Balloon offers opportunities for children to take up leadership roles in their communities and become the voices advocating positive social change. The RB STAGE provides a dynamic platform for the participants to share their ideas, projects and visions with a large number of young people and inspire others through example. The Internships programme further exposes the children to on ground learning and service opportunities.
